Safeguarding

children

Crabtree Junior School takes very seriously its duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of our pupils. We aim to:

  • create and maintain a safe learning environment for children; and
  • to identify where there are child welfare concerns and take action to address them (in partnership with other organisations where appropriate).

To achieve this we ensure there are effective arrangements in place to address a range of issues such as child protection, pupil health and safety, bullying (including cyberbullying), provision of first aid and school security. The school's policies can be viewed here or can be requested from the School Office.

For information on E-safety and how to help your children to use the Internet safely, see our pdf link to the left of this page.

We also use the curriculum to develop children’s understanding, awareness and resilience: the curriculum for Personal, Social and Health Education and Citizenship (PSHEC) provides opportunities for children and young people to learn about keeping safe.
